Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her high-quality performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards which included the Oscar for her role in the film Piano. At a young age her acclaimed actress started playing on stage for several Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. Since her childhood, she has been passionate in the field of acting. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. Mumps made her lose hearing in one of her ears, but this didn't stop the actress from following her dreams. When she was a teenager she studied drama, and then moved into New York City. Hunter met Beth Henley by chance in an lift. Together, they wrote Broadway Crimes of the Heart. It was Hunter's acting debut. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. She landed one in the role of an actress playing the main character in Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in a number of films, TV series as well as movies throughout the span of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
